Warren, a trained ESOS Lead Assessor for buildings, processes and transport, and an ISO 50001 IRCA auditor, Warren has extensive experience in the built environment that includes energy management, waste stream mapping, retrofit, refurbishment and new build development of multiple sites for Housing Associations.

Warren has over 18 years’ experience working as a consultant and a further 8 years providing technical solutions in a manufacturing environment.His employment experience stems from a unique mix of Project Management, Energy management, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Processing, Product Development, New Build Development, and refurbishment projects gained from his work in the Automotive Industry and social housing and research and development in multiple disciplines. Having had a portfolio career in engineering, construction and Energy and Environmental Management, Warren has gained a great deal of technical knowledge, which enables him to easily find solutions to difficult problems through product or process innovation and improvement.Development of eight sites in Cambridgeshire and Northampton providing 99 units.
Warren also acts in a voluntary capacity both with the Peterborough environmental charity PECT and the Association of Project Management (APM) as a panel member to provide objective commercial guidance for fundraising issues, and reviewing applications for APM membership. Steps for carrying out an ESOS assessment All organisations that fall under the qualification requirements set out above are required to complete an ESOS assessment. This requires participants to: (click on the links below)

  • Measure total energy consumption
  • identify areas of significant energy consumption
  • Calculate your energy intensity ratios
  • Consider available routes to compliance
  • ensure areas of significant energy consumption are covered by a route to compliance
  • Appoint a lead assessor (unless you have zero energy, use less than 40,000 kWh of energy or have ISO 50001 energy management system which covers 100% of your total energy consumption – see section 7.2)
  • Carry out energy audits for any areas of significant energy consumption not covered by an alternative compliance route
  • Complete the ESOS report
  • Share the ESOS report, and any relevant documentation relating to alternative compliance routes, with group undertakings
  • Get one or more board level directors to review the findings of the assessment
  • Submit an ESOS compliance notification through the online notification system
  • Keep a record in your evidence pack of the ESOS compliance notification, a copy of your ESOS report and any other records of the assessment.
